The Profile Summary

This is one of the first parts of the CV, usually positioned after your personal information. In this section you want to keyword and summarize your skills in a concise way, so that you introduce the main elements of your career to date. It is also used by selectors to know a little about the personality of the person, the way they sell themselves and how it relates to the role. The Profile should be written in plain text and should be short, so write it objectively, avoiding abstractions. The recruiter does not want to waste their time. You should write about your work experience and academic background, highlighting your key achievements. Do not exaggerate and be very clear in what you can bring to the role.

CV Formats

The format of any CV can vary by country to country. In some European countries, the CV is relatively short at 1 page. Online Employment Application forms are also becoming more and more popular. In no other country within the EU is the application photo on a CV as much a priority as in German-speaking countries. CV’s without photos often end up being thrown in the bin or simply deleted from the inbox. Depending on the profession,  application photos can also be required. Exceptional quality images are extremely important on a CV.
